CAJE’s Diller Teen Fellowship is more than just a program; it's a pathway to empowered leadership, stronger Jewish identity and a deeper connection to Israel and Israeli peers.

Over a month ago, an extraordinary event took place that brought together the past and the future of Jewish leadership-- the graduation of Diller Teen Fellows Cohort 10 and the exciting kickoff of Diller Cohort 11.

These young leaders, handpicked for their dedication and passion, represent a dynamic force for positive change in the Jewish community, guided by the timeless values and teachings of Judaism.

Cohort 10: A Journey of Growth and Inspiration

The Diller Teen Fellows program is grounded in Jewish values, and Cohort 10 embraced these principles throughout their yearlong journey. They learned that Tikkun Olam, the Jewish concept of “repairing the world,” isn't just a catch phrase; it’s a call to action!

“I am so grateful for Diller because it helped me grow my confidence and feel proud to be Jewish. Meeting so many passionate Jewish friends inspired me to become more involved in my community. After returning from Israel, I created a club [the Jewish Student Union] at my school to bring the Jewish students together”

- Nicole Klenicki, Cohort 10, MAST @ FIU

The program instilled in the Fellows the importance of Gemilut Chasadim, the act of giving to those in need. They engaged in many service projects throughout the Fellowship, including volunteering at the Kosher Food Bank, building furniture for schools with MOLET, and fundraising for Magen David Adom.

Their exploration of Israel was more than a tour; it was a deepening of their connection to Eretz Yisrael, the Land of Israel, and Medinat Yisrael, the State of Israel, and their historical significance within Jewish tradition.

Our Dillers also experienced the transcendent value of Am Yisrael, Jewish peoplehood, as they learned about the diversity of Jewish communities worldwide and deeply connected with their fellow Dillers in Yerucham.

They felt the power and excitement of being with hundreds of Jewish teens from 6 continents around the world at Diller Congress, where they made new friends and enjoyed huge amounts of Diller ruach / spirit.

At the close of their journey, Cohort 10 felt more confident, more connected to worldwide Jewry, and ready to make an impact as Jewish leaders into the future.

Cohort 11: Beginning Their Leadership Journey

During Cohort 11’s kickoff event, the Fellows explored their core values and the factors that make up their Jewish identities. In spite of the diversity within the Cohort, the Fellows found, much to their surprise, many commonalities and connections.

Cohort 11 are the next generation of change makers, poised to continue the Diller tradition of excellence and dedication to the Jewish community, all while upholding the values that have guided Jewish communities for centuries.

We can’t wait to see the positive influence this Diller group will undoubtedly have on the Jewish community and beyond.
